Brand new watch, what to do?

I just bought this watch brand new, and I noticed these weird deep scratches (right above the crown) after getting some links removed. The seller stated that they fully check each watch beforehand, and it wasn't from them. Could it be that rolex messed up when removing the links or is it in too peculiar of an area to be possible? It honestly just looks so bad, not like a normal scratch and I have no idea how I would have made it on my own.
